Manoa Poke – Somerville, MA 300 Beacon St, Somerville, MA 02143 If you’re craving authentic Hawaiian poke, Manoa Poke is where it’s at! We tried their Mix Plate which comes with fluffy white rice , creamy mac salad , crunchy kimchi cucumbers , and your choice of two proteins—we went with spicy tuna and salmon. Both were solid, but the real winner? SALMON BELLY Coated in the most addicting teriyaki sauce , it was sweet, savory, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. I don’t even like salmon usually, but this blew me away. 10/10 would order again (and again ). We also tried the Kalua Pig —tender pulled pork shoulder slow-cooked to perfection, served with their housemade yaki sauce. It’s juicy, flavorful, and a must-try for anyone who’s not big on seafood. Dessert time! We finished with their Mango Cake—a spongey, tropical dream. The real MVP? That fluffy, flavorful frosting. Can’t wait to come back and try the pineapple version! Heads up: This place gets busy even right at opening (3PM!) and some things sell out fast, so get there early! Food: 9/10 Ambiance: Grab-and-go vibes, not really a dine-in hangout. Affordability: 5/10 – Definitely a treat yo’self kinda meal but you’re paying for quality and real island flavor

Delicious Poke in town, really love the mix plate which you could choose 2 protein. I chose the BBQ Salmon and Kalua Pig, they were tasty. Both protein had rich flavor that blended with the rice, salad, and macaroni. The menu cost me 24.57 (include tips). My friend ordered mini mix which had smaller portion. The Ahi shoyu & Salmon shoyu were fresh & mouthwatering. The waiters were friendly, and there were free iced water & restrooms. Would come back to this resto.

This place will overturn your conventional understanding of ‘poke’ if you think it’s a buffet of toppings to hide the off-taste of sketchy scoops of raw fish. This is the Americanized knockoff glamorized in instagram food prom. If you want authentic Hawaiian poke then come to Manoa where you’ll have the real deal served by real Hawaiians honoring their heritage—which includes the kindest hospitality you’ll look forward to as much as the sublime poke itself. The fish is so fresh and delicate there’s no need for frilly toppings. Which is exactly the point of the OG poke in its pacific island home.

The only place in MA that makes poke just like they do in Hawaii. Simply Large chunks of fish and light on the sauce, plus high quality rice. Super ono. The other poke shops are not authentic

Everything on the menu sounded so good it was so hard to decide but after my first visit, I don’t think any choice would disappoint! Food: The mix plate was a fantastic meal! I settled on trying the Salmon Shoyu and the mochiko fried chicken. The chicken was crispy and the salmon was tender pairing great with the mac salad and pickles. Service & Atmosphere: The shop oozed hospitality and kindness. Seeing the employees and the dine in customers enjoying working and eating just brightened my day!

These guys are totally legit and kind. The best poke and Hawaiian food in the area for sure. And they're generous hooking you up with fruity cakes if it's your first time there. They remember your name so it feels like you're a regular even if you're completely new there. Loved the vibes in there.
